- 2 cups purified water
- 2 tbsp. kukicha twigs
- 1 to 2 drops ume plum vinegar
Combine water and kukicha twigs in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook 10 minutes. Strain and pour into serving cups. Add one drop vinegar to 8 ounces hot tea.
Note: Ume is a Japanese plum.
Folklore: Combined with ume plum vinegar, the kukicha twigs help relieve fatigue, gas and nausea. Twigs may be used up to three times.
