Perfect! And it's most important to keep the product refrigerated after you open the packaging, at least under 73 degrees. Cool extra piece - to allow for transportation of the product and to ensure the highest potency of probiotic cultures, Renew Life includes more probiotic cultures at the time of manufacture than we claim on the label.

Thanks so much for your support. Don't hesitate to ask any further questions that come up.

Thank you for the help!  I am going to go ahead and purchase the Senior Formula.  I also realized the difference between Senior and Extra Care.  I actually finally found the Extra Care Formula in my local super market and didn't realize it wasn't a refrigerated product which I guess makes it more accessible to the consumer.  However, I do feel more comfortable taking the "refrigerated" product since I would think it would increase strain availability.  Thanks again!

Dear mocntypb,

First, you can absolutely take the Senior Formula. Why it's "Senior" is only because it contains a larger amount of bifidobacteria (for the large intestine). As a person ages, their bifido declines. However, in many cases, it would  be advisable for Seniors to take even more bifido, depending on their condition. And younger people can definitely use the bifido.

I'm so glad you've written in. Tell us just a bit about what your situation is. There may be an even better product for you.

By the way, I've seen Brenda on her blog suggest Vaginal Support for a man. Again, it's not the name - it's what's in it. That product has a large percentage of lactobacillus, which is great for the urinary and vaginal areas. This man however had a situation where he needed more lactobacillus.

As far as helping yes and no.  What exactly is the slight difference?  Based on supplement facts, they appear to be the same thing.  Is the slight difference the outlets where you can obtain?  I guess my ultimate question is would it hurt me to take the senior formula although I am not a senior (since it is easily obtainable for me)?  Or should I spend the extra $$$ to pop two Adult 15 Billion pills at a time.

Although they have the same strains and culture count, the products are slightly different. Additionally, the Senior formula is widely distributed in health food stores, but the Extra Care is found more in drug stores, Wal-Mart and some grocery stores.

I hope this helps.

Besides price...  What is the difference really?  I can find the Senior Formula locally but can't find the Extra Care except online.
