OfflineIBS is a serious and complex condition, and while taking a daily probiotic supplement is a good start, broad-scale diet and lifestyle changes may also be necessary to help relieve symptoms and restore a healthy digestive tract. This is especially true since you also have the added issue of yeast overgrowth.
Yes, antibiotics are helpful when they are needed, but it’s important to remember that antibiotics kill off many of the good bacteria in your intestines at the same time they are killing off the bad bacteria. This upsets the normally healthy bacterial balance in your digestive tract, which is necessary for good digestive function as well as a strong immune system. An imbalance of healthy bacteria in the gut can create an environment where harmful bacteria and yeast are allowed to thrive, and this can contribute to irritable bowel, yeast infections and other symptoms, as well as a breakdown in overall health if not corrected.
The bottom line is that your digestive tract is your first line of defense against illness and infection, so it’s important to build a solid foundation of digestive health in order to prevent more problems in the future. It is unlikely that you are taking too many probiotics. In fact, we often recommend higher doses of probiotics for those who are undergoing antibiotic treatment, so you may even want to try our Ultimate Flora Super Critical 200 Billion formula.
With regard to your gut health and maintaining a healthy digestive system, Brenda Watson’s H.O.P.E. Formula recommends daily, ongoing supplementation with High fiber, Probiotics, Omega-3s and Enzymes, as well as regular internal cleansing to help reduce the number of harmful toxins in the body and keep all of your elimination organs—the liver, lungs, lymphatic system, kidneys, skin, blood and bowel (or colon)—running smoothly. Our CandiGONE cleanse in particular may help with your existing yeast issue, along with Ultimate Flora Vaginal Support 50 Billion or our new Rapid Yeast Relief product.
If at any time you have additional questions or would like to discuss your symptoms further, don’t hesitate to call our Customer Service team at 1-800-830-1800.

Forgot to mention, is there any chance that I am taking too much probotics. Since I was on the antibotic and fine, then this mess started up again after the antibotic. Hmmmm makes me wonder. Also my stool has been looser, but was solid for the first time when on both antibotic and probotics. Should I cut back or increase, or just wait.
Thanks!!

Within three days of taking the Ultimate Flora 50 billion my stomach pains and urgency has disappeared. I was so happy and excited since Ibs has taken over my life. I could eat several things and not even be bothered. But this only lasted for 2 weeks. Does it take about a full month to fully work, should I not give up so soon. Or should I take even more. This is the first probotic that I have been able to handle. I tried about 7 other brands. All of the other ones made me worse. But now I am wondering if I just need to take more or give it more time. I did find out that I have a large amoutn of yeast in my body. Unfortantly I took antibotics and this is when it started. Is 50 billion not enough when you have a large amount of yeast in the system. By the way when I started this probotic I also started cipro the same day for a UTI. And like I said I felt great. Then my stomach started to act up about 4 days after the antibotic and this just doesnt make any sense to me. Thanks for any information.
