Many of the "reactions" that people experience while cleansing—especially during a heavy metal cleansing program (such as for mercury)—come from toxins being eliminated from the body. These reactions typically taper off and eventually stop after 3-7 days into the cleansing program. Generally referred to as "cleansing reactions," they tend to vary from person to person. For example, some people may experience joint pain, others may get headaches, and many will feel nothing at all. However, in almost all cases these reactions can be minimized by following these simple guidelines:
1. Eat more fiber in your diet and take a soluble fiber supplement. Our Organic Clear Fiber product is perfect for this. Fiber helps to absorb toxins and remove them from the body.
2. Drink more water while cleansing. Water, much like fiber, creates a vehicle for toxins to leave the body, so increasing your water intake may help ease cleansing reactions. We recommended drinking at least half your body weight in purified water every day. You may also drink herbal teas.
