I would like to know if a cleanse is the first step for chronic constipation, and if it will help.

I don't have a bowel movement unless I take a laxative.   It's been like this  since

I was a child.   It seems that now bad is going to worse.  The laxatives are  not doing

as well as they use too.  What should I do first?   I purchased the Ultimate Flora,

but there has been no changes.  How long does it take to see a difference.?

I take fiber and it does not work at all sometimes.

Thanks for your help

Hi Scharlot,

CleanseSMART and FiberSMART are a great start, but if you are still experiencing sluggish elimination you may want to try our CleanseMORE natural herbal laxative. CleanseMORE is only for short-term use, but it may help relieve a constipated colon and get you back to having normal, regular bowel movements.

On an ongoing basis and as part of our Constipation Solution we also recommend taking a daily Omega oil supplement such as OilSMART to keep the colon lubricated and help with easier elimination. A daily probiotic may also help by replenishing healthy bacteria in the colon and helping to maintain a balanced digestive environment. Remember also to drink plenty of water throughout the day - we recommend drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of purified water daily for bowel regularity as well as overall health.

I started the cleansesmart 30 day cleanse and am taking the fibersmart with it.  I was constpated already before starting this cleanse.  I did choose the cleansesmart product that said for constipation. It said in the instructions you should have atleast two BM's a day.  I am not even having one a day.  I am most days having one.  IS there anything I can do? Should I increase my fiber to twice a day? Need help despirately. Thanks
