OfflineCongrats on your journey to better health! We do not recommend using aspartame or any other artificial sweeteners during cleansing or on an ongoing basis. Instead we recommend natural sugar substitutes made from stevia or lo han fruit. That said, we do not recommend diet pop. Purified water is the best choice, and we recommend drinking at least half your body weight in ounces every day.
Yes, rice products such as rice flour and rice milk are fine. With regard to potatoes, red-skinned potatoes are a recommended option during cleansing, but they should be eaten sparingly. Also, if you are following a Yeast Cleansing diet, we recommend avoiding yams and sweet potatoes as well. For more information and meal/snack ideas, visit our Cleansing and Yeast Diets section.
Keep in mind also that many of the recipes provided in our Recipes & Diet section are simply healthful, everyday recipes and not necessarily specific to a Cleansing or Yeast Cleansing diet.

OfflineHello! My best friend & I are thinking about starting on one of the Renew Life cleanses. The website has been perfect for us! It's been a big help in finding information, doing our research and trying to get familiar with a comfortable diet as we take this on in the next couple of weeks.
I am interested in starting the Candigone cleanse and just wanted to check on a couple of questions:
1) Is aspartame allowed when on the cleanse? I drink a good amount of water as it is but do like to add the Crystal Light sweeteners to bottles of water from time to time. Is this okay? If its going to set back my progress, I definitely want to try to avoid!
2) Is it okay to have a diet pop from time to time??
3) Rice products – I believe they are free from yeast. Is it okay to have rice bread and rice pasta in moderation while on the diet plan?
4) Regular potatoes – I've noticed that high carb foods are to be eliminated. Does this include regular potatoes as well? I did see a Sweet Potatoes recipe so it looks like that's safe. Are regular potatoes as well?
Many thanks for your help! This forum is such a perfect idea

Sincerely,
2divas2feelgood (our goal for the end of 2010!)
