Which cereals are the best for lowering LDL Cholesterol and also for regularity. I find that when I have Cheerios (soluble fiber) my LDL is not too bad but when I switch to Kellogg's Raisin Brand Crunch (insoluble fiber) I have better luck with regularity and better bowel movements than with the Cheerios. Is there a happy medium? Would you combine both? Is that a problem? I also take two Citrucel pills a day (soluble fiber?)
The problem is when I switched to Raisin Bran my LDL shot up.
