Dear justjess,

Please consider joining Brenda Watson's Community for free here - - where you can search Brenda's answers over years to posts. You can also post a question to her yourself. That Forum is where Brenda answers more specific health questions.

Have you continued taking fiber and oil? You didn't mention probiotics. Are you currently taking them?

More than anything else, what jumps out is the need for probiotics to help balance the issues you describe and to strengthen your immune system for surgery. Undoubtedly you will be given antibiotics along the way, and you want to be as strong as possible when that occurs. Then absolutely you'll want to agressively repopulate after you've completed your antibiotics.

I believe Brenda may offer one suggested protocol to use after antibiotics on her FAQs. I'd suggest you take a look there.

I have IBS, and OAB and possibly interstital cystitus (bladder lesions for sure).  OAB is often worsened by irregularity.  I used CleanseSmart several years ago and it helped me greatly w/regularity (taking the fiber & oil).

Question:  I thought it might be beneficial to do a cleanse before my wired-jaw surgery where my eating habits will change drastically.  What cleanse should I consider?  My first thought was to do the 30-day, but seeing there were now other alternatives for which I was not aware, perhaps you could advise.

 Thank you.

I did search the forum, and I'm not sure I found any questions like mine...  Hope I just didn't miss it.
