Have you continued taking fiber and oil? You didn't mention probiotics. Are you currently taking them?

More than anything else, what jumps out is the need for probiotics to help balance the issues you describe and to strengthen your immune system for surgery. Undoubtedly you will be given antibiotics along the way, and you want to be as strong as possible when that occurs. Then absolutely you'll want to agressively repopulate after you've completed your antibiotics.
