OfflineHi Linda,
With regard to cleansing, it is really up to you and what feels right for your body. As a general guideline, ReNew Life recommends the following 3-step program for internal cleansing, which begins with a more comprehensive total-body cleanse. You may find this beneficial since you say you have not cleansed in a while.
Begin with a General Total-body Cleanse, which we recommend 2 to 4 times each year. (Note: Each of our General Total-body Cleanses already includes a colon-cleansing component. If you are having issues with regularity or occasional constipation, you may benefit from beginning with CleanseSMART to stimulate healthy bowel function.)
Following the General Total-body Cleanse, advance to an Enhanced Cleansing and Detox formula as need for specific concerns, such as liver/kidney health. (See individual product directions for length of use.)
Complete the 3-step program with a Microbial Cleanse to address parasites, yeast, or both, depending upon your individual needs. (Again, see individual product directions for length of use.)
Once you complete the 3-step program, you may then wish to use one of our Situational Cleansing and Detox formulas—including Flush & Be Fit—to address additional concerns such as weight loss or women-specific issues such as low energy, water retention, and vaginal and urinary tract health.
When deciding how long to break in between cleanses, it is always important to read the individual product directions. While several of our cleanses may be taken for up to three months at a time, a deeper cleanse such as CleanseSMART is best used only quarterly or twice yearly because of the stronger bowel-stimulating herbs in the formula. Essentially, it is not beneficial for your body to be cleansing month after month, so it is best to take a break in between–at least 15 to 30 days. Good luck and happy cleansing!

Hi,
I am reading Brenda's book , "The Detox Strategy" and her steps to cleansing are certainly easy enough to follow, however, I am currently doing a paracleanse from nature's sunshine and I thought that it was typical to do a paracleanse first, before anything else. Is that correct? After I do one round of Nature's Sunshine Paracleanse, I'd like to switch to Brenda's stuff but I'm not sure where to start. Should I start with one run of her paracleanse? And where do I go from there? I am also intrigued by the "Flush and Be Fit" cleanse.
I should say, I am 56, I have done a few cleanses in my life, but I haven't done one in about 14 years. I did a paracleanse only one other time in my life, also about 14 years ago. I am hypothryoid. I just recently hit an all time low in my energy and brain fog. I had my thyroid checked and it's normal (with synthroid), so now, I think it's time to do a really good cleanse – the whole shmagiggle. What do you suggest. I am also starting to work with a personal trainer and going to a nutritionist this week. Oh, and I'm taking Nature's Plus Gold Liquid Organic vitamins – which has helped a bit.
So, I see that Brenda has a few more products since her book, and again, I'm just confused as where to start and what to do for a really complete cleanse.
Thanks,
Linda
