Intestinal fireworks with Candigone...?!

Thanks for responding.

I toyed with taking CleanseSmart first (or FirstCleanse), but I'm nervous about 'strong' bowel cleanses because of my history- twenty years ago I had a severe eating disorder and abused laxatives, it is amazing I still have any intestines left. Since my digestion has been healthy and regular, but it shuts down if I toy with it, ie long flights. The anti-Candida diet seems to have slowed things down as well. Bowels are moving, but are sluggish. Because of my history, I'm not willing to take anything that has active, albeit natural laxative properties. I'm not getting any die-off symptoms, am generally more alert than I was, which is good. I am taking probiotics two hours after the Candigone doses. I've held off taking fiber, concerned that it would add to the constipation issue, hoping the vast quantities of vegetables/ broth I consume would do the trick.

I must add that given my historical warped view of food (I've been cured for two decades) I find the anti-Candida diet irritating as it frames food as 'good' or 'bad' (an anorexic would love the anti-Candida diet), and I'm revisiting a mindset that I thought I'd left behind long ago. To me, balance is the key, I've eaten a 'Mediterranean' kind of diet over the years, happily, and these days avoiding food groups etc is doing my head in. I am doing the diet because, for the past year or so, I've suffered angioedema and anaphylaxis which are spontaneous, ie not connected to allergens, and it has been suggested to me that my system is full of mould. So I'm willing to give the diet a try.

The good news? is the gurgling/humming thing in my gut has disappeared-

Dear marquis,

I'm so glad you wrote. First and foremost, you don't want to continue cleansing if your bowels aren't moving regularly. The goal of a cleanse is to rid your body of toxins and pathogenic bacteria and yeast. If your bowels aren't moving, then the toxins are not being eliminated efficiently.

Question - did you possibly do a Total Body Cleanse like CleanseSmart before you began your Candida cleanse? This type of cleanse opens and supports the 7 channels of elimination, including your bowel, to better prepare your body for a microbial cleanse like CandiGone. It's great to follow the anti-Candida diet through an initial cleanse so you can make sure you're having regular movements. Please read more here

Renew Life has two effective formulas for occasional constipation - CleanseMore and ConstipationStop. They are very similar. Although you don't want to continue these long term, you definitely need to stimulate movement today and can safely use either of them throughout your Candida cleanse safely. Read more about constipation here.

You didn't mention taking fiber. Fiber on a cleanse is very important as it sops up toxins to be cleared from the bowel. And the probiotics are essential. To be most effective, you'll want to take your probiotic at least 2 hours away from your dose of CandiGone, since CandiGone contains some antibacterial herbs. This is a general rule-of-thumb any time you are taking probiotics with any type of antibiotic herbs or medications.

Please stay in touch and let us know how it goes for you.

Greetings. I've been taking Candigone (and probiotics, following Candida diet etc.) for five days. From the word go my intestines have been gurgling up a storm and 'humming' nonstop. I began the anti-Candida diet twelve days ago, have been drinking lots of water, and have been really constipated since.

Any guesses as to what's up?
