Although removing mercury fillings (with the help of a natural dentist) would be ideal, it is not required prior to doing a heavy metal cleanse. And no, using the cleanse before removing the fillings will not cause them to “leak” worse. (Keep in mind that mercury housed in dental fillings can be released simply during regular daily activities such as chewing, teeth grinding, drinking hot beverages, etc.)

Yes, the fatigue, headaches and dizziness you are experiencing may be linked to the cleansing program. Our Heavy Metal Cleanse typically yields more cleansing reactions (synonymous with ‘healing crisis’) than other cleanses because it is more intense and may be especially stimulating for someone like yourself who has known heavy metal issues.

Yes, it is safe to continue, though you may certainly discontinue using Heavy Metal Cleanse if you wish. However, in cases such as this we often recommend an adjunct product for this exact reason (i.e. difficult cleansing reactions). AbsorbMORE Toxins is highly recommended because it contains bentonite clay, activated charcoal and apple pectin—all of which have been shown to help bind with and eliminate heavy metals from the body as they are being drawn out during the cleansing process. Taking such a product may help accelerate your cleansing results as well as minimize your cleansing reactions. Good luck!

I forgot to mention that I've done a lot of different types of cleanses in the past 10 or so years but I don't recall ever doing a heavy metal cleanse, even after having many fillings removed approximately 10 years ago. I add this simply to say that I wouldn't think that I'd be so polluted to have such a healing crisis unless it was related to detoxing metals. I'm a pretty healthy eater and do cleanses regularly (colon cleanse, gall bladder cleanse, and other less intense fasts and cleanses).

Hi,

I wonder if it is recommended that one have mercury fillings removed prior to taking the heavy metal cleanse? Would taking the cleanse before removal cause the fillings to "leak" worse? Also, I've been on the cleanse for around 2 weeks now and got very, very fatigued and had headaches and dizziness for several days approximately 5-8 days into the cleanse. At first I didn't realize it could be linked to the cleanse. Have you heard of similar such "healing crisis" taking place? Someone told me after this happened that perhaps I should stop the cleanse until after I have the last of the mercury fillings removed. Is it safe to continue?
