Really it is up to you and what feels best for your body. Because of your issues with constipation, CleanseSMART may be a good next step as it contains a more potent colon cleanse, which is formulated to help jumpstart a sluggish colon and promote 2-3 healthy bowel movements daily.

Considering your history with irritable bowel, however, you may also benefit from using a natural intestinal lining support formula along with daily supplementation with fiber, Omega oils and probiotics. Our Intestinal Bowel Support contains nourishing herbs and amino acids used traditionally to strengthen and support a healthy intestinal lining and promote healthy bowel function. Added fiber in the diet provides needed bulk to help keep food moving through the intestines and further tone the muscles of the colon, and Omega oils help to soothe and lubricate the bowel for better elimination.

Probiotics are also important because they help to replenish needed good bacteria in the gut—especially Bifidobacteria, which are the most prevalent good bacteria in a healthy colon. You may benefit from our Ultimate Flora Critical Colon 80 Billion formula, or we also offer multi-product kits designed specifically for people with irritable bowel.

Remember also that diet and lifestyle habits play a significant role in healthy bowel function. For example, if you find that certain foods trigger your irritable bowel symptoms, you may need to avoid those foods or at the very least eat them sparingly. Keeping a food journal is a great way to keep track of how certain foods make you feel, and by doing so you can then start to make the healthy changes necessary for your body. Drinking plenty of water (at least half your body weight in ounces every day) is also important for healthy bowel function.

Essentially, you want to take a whole-body approach to better digestion and health, and the right supplements are only a part of that approach. To learn more about irritable bowel, better digestion and overall health, visit our online Learning Center, or you are always welcome to call our customer support team at 1-800-830-1800 if you have more questions or would like to discuss your symptoms further. Good luck and good health!

I finished the Flush and Be Fit pack about a week ago. Does it count as a "first cleanse"? Should I go on to step 2 in the cleanse program or do the Cleanse Smart? Or should I use the formula for treating IBS? I have most of the symptoms listed on the website for IBS. I am constipated most of the time. If I take something to fix the constipation, the opposite occurs. I am not sure what my next step should be.
