The diet recommendations for cleansing are general recommendations that include plenty of healthy fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, healthy fats, and wheat and dairy substitutes. These are general guidelines, which may need to be modified according to the needs of the individual. This particular diet includes some fruits, but if you were following a more strict Candida diet, you want to remove most fruits as well, as they contain sugar which feeds Candida growth. The Yeast Cleansing Diet would be appropriate for people wanting to eliminate sugar. As for wheat, we recommed avoiding wheat in most cases because many people are sensitive to this grain, and it may be an underlying food sensitivity that can aggravate digestive issues.

I am new to the forum!
Yesterday I started my first cleanse. I have some questions about the foods I should avoid, and safe foods. I purchased my kit through a friends health food store, and he provided me with a print out of both categories. In looking through Renew Lifes list, there seem to be some conflict. HIs list stated no fruits, while Renew Life suggested pineapple? I am familiar with clean eating, and a daily plan, but am confused as I said as to what should be avoided. Also, I purchased 100% organic wheat bran, with the thought of sprinkling it on foods, should wheat bran be avoided? I am looking for ways to up my fibre intake as well. I have started first cleanse, omega 369's and vitamin B. Any suggestions, links for further reading in the forums are appreciated.
