Certainly discontinue use of the cleanse if you are uncomfortable and/or if symptoms persist. You may also try discontinuing just the psyllium husk for now to see if your symptoms resolve. That way, if symptoms do resolve, you know that the pysllium is the culprit. We encourage you to keep in mind that everyone is different, and different people may experience different reactions to certain ingredients. Still, however, the First Cleanse formula is extremely mild and not likely to cause abdominal pain.

Alright i'll cut out the protein and psyllium husk, i've been taking the whey protein for a few months, never had this kind of problem though.  I was reading the back of the Evening pills case and it says if i "have or develop abdominal pain" that i shouldn't take it.  Now it doesn't say this on Morning case, I wont take the Evening ones tonight and the Morning ones tomorrow, until i hear back from you on that.  Thanks.

A likely cause of your symptoms is the psyllium husk, as psyllium is known to cause cramping due to its dehydrating effects on the colon. Your stomach pains may also be caused by the protein powder, as some protein powders have been shown to cause abdominal pain and excess gas due to the fact that they are high-potency (providing too much protein at once) and consist of protein isolates, which are heavily processed to remove fat/lactose and are not digested easily by the body.

The type and amount of cleansing herbs in First Cleanse would not cause stomach pains. The herbal blend is very mild, plus we include a digestive blend of herbs (such as peppermint) along with the enzyme cellulase to help with overall digestion.

With regard to probiotics, they may certainly be taken during a cleanse, since they are not "flushed out" as many people think. In your case, discontinuing the psyllium and protein shakes may be the most effective step toward relief, along with adding a daily probiotic and a natural digestive enzyme formula for enhanced digestive support. Good luck!

I've been on FirstCleanse for 6 days now…

Every morning 30 mins after my first pill(s) I eat eggs and I drink a protein shake mixed in with my Psyllium Husk Powder (1 large scoop).

Through out the day I experience strong stomach pains, not crippling but painful none the less.  They're pretty often, 1 every 30 mins to an hour usually.  Sometimes it's in rapid succession like 3x in a row, lasting from 5-10 secs at a time.  The pain persists even after bowel movements and I'm not eating too heavy throughout the day either.  I also drink between 50-100 oz of water a day.  What could cause this?  I feel fine enough to continue my cleanse, just some pain here and there, I want to make sure it's nothing serious, as my internet searches haven't showed up much results on the topic.

I do have probiotics but I was told not to take them until after the cleanse.
