OfflineHi Erin,
While every person is different and may react differently to the cleansing process, excessive fatigue is not typical. Common cleansing reactions may include slight headache, mild fatigue or flu-like symptoms. However, they should not be so extreme as to affect your normal daily activities. We recommend reducing the dosage by half, which would be one capsule in the morning and one capsule in the evening. Keep in mind that Part 1 is the organ detox formula, while Part 2 is the colon cleanse formula, so if you are comfortable with the “elimination” part of the cleanse, you may wish to reduce only the dosage of Part 1. If at any time you are uncomfortable with how you feel, we recommend discontinuing the cleansing program altogether. You may also contact our Customer Service department directly at 1-800-830-1800 if you would like to discuss your symptoms further.

OfflineHi Nicole,
CleanseSMART contains blood-cleansing and -stimulating herbs such as dandelion and chlorella. Because these herbs are known to promote the healthy flow or "movement" of blood (as well as lymphatic fluid and urine), it is possible for early or heavier menstrual flow to be a part of the normal cleansing reactions. If you are experiencing pain or other symptoms, however, we recommend discontinuing the CleanseSMART program.

I am 16 days into the CleanseSMART program and haven't had any real problems except for I usually get my period this Wednesday or Thursday however I got it yesterday and it is very heavy. This is very unusual for me; it hasn't been like this for years.
Is this normal for a detox to cause an early and heavy menstruation?
